Vedo Systems President Amanda Acevedo Named University of Iowa Alumni Fellow
Each year, the University of Iowa’s College of Liberal Arts and Sciences (CLAS) honors a select group of distinguished alumni through its Alumni Fellows Program. These individuals are invited back to campus to share their professional experiences, speak with students and faculty, and inspire the next generation of leaders.
This year, Amanda Acevedo, President and Founder of Vedo Systems, was named an Alumni Fellow by the Department of Physics and Astronomy. As part of the honor, she served as the keynote speaker at the CLAS Alumni Lecture, where she spoke about her journey from physics student to leader in the space industry.
“I am deeply honored,” said Acevedo. “The knowledge and skills I gained at the University of Iowa are used in my work with my team and customers every day.”
Amanda’s recognition not only highlights her personal accomplishments but also reflects the growing impact of software and systems innovation in shaping the future of space exploration. Vedo Systems is proud to celebrate this milestone and the continued connection between education, leadership, and forward-looking technology.
